The House
Victorian Terrace
Built in 1911 the House is a Bay Fronted Victorian Terrace, this means big rooms, high ceilings and beautiful, original features.
From the Original period floor tiles in the Entrance hall to the antique stairs, the house keeps its original character while also making sure to provide all the modern comforts we've come to love (running water, electricity, central heating and much more!)
Comfy Rooms
Here at Lyns Lodgings we are no stranger to the touring lifestyle, we ourselves have spent time "on the road" and know what's makes Digs good! So we rolled up our sleeves, evicted all the spiders and set about making sure the most important part of your stay was seen to.
We have 4 bedrooms available, each room has been decorated with comfortable beds with bedding and towels provided as well as 4 pillows per double bed (nobody likes pillow origami!), Plug sockets with USB ports near the beds (this ain't the Holiday Inn!), reading lights (including lightbulb) a wardrobe, make-up desk and many more features. All intended to make the room feel like home.
Two Bathrooms
We know that the worst part of sharing any household is waiting for the loo, or the shower. We fixed that here, The house has 2 bathrooms on the first floor.
The first contains Toilet, Basin, Cabinet with mirror over the Sink, and a shower over the bath. The second has Toilet, Basin (with mirrored cabinet over sink) and corner Shower.
The Courtyard
We understand that sometimes you just want somewhere nice to sit, outside and drink your coffee/Prosecco. Here at the house we have made sure to renovate not only the inside but also the outdoor space. With Artificial grass, Decking area, patio furniture and outside power sockets. This garden is a great place for breakfast or lunch on a sunny day, but after dark, the automatic lighting will illuminate the garden in a soft glow providing the perfect place to relax after work on a warm evening.
Fully Kitted out Kitchen
Cooking while on tour can be a minefield! Unless you pack your own kitchen into the car before that first venue its often lucky dip when you get to the digs!
The kitchen here is fully equipped with as much as we could think of being useful to a touring professional. From a microwave to warm up the ready meal you forgot to eat yesterday, to the fully stocked cutlery, utensils and cooking implements. This kitchen has a gas hob, electric fan assisted oven, Boiling water tap, dishwasher and probably most importantly a washing machine!
While we've tried to think of everything, don't be afraid to let us know if theres an implement you think we've missed!
